Do Stand on Ceremony

Bit of a strange combination a hat, big winter coat and bare legs but I love the juxtaposition.

This coat was a sale buy from New Look last winter and cost me £10! After seeing little wooly duffels on the Mulberry A/W 2011 catwalk I had to have it.

My dress is from Next, well I say dress, its actually a top that I bought 10X too big so I could wear it as a dress, it has a brilliant drape asymmetric back that makes the silky front more causal.

The faux fur bag is c/o Zalando. I love the combination of the fur and the leather, and having a body strap and short straps means its very versatile.

Now to the boots!!!! I found these Opening Ceremony boots reduced from £350 to £50 at Shoeaholics, being a neutral boot they are also great leg lengtheners.

Paul and Joe Sister

These pictures were taken when my parents came to visit me in Nottingham and we stayed in this lovely little B and B called the Royal Oak in Long Whatton.

I’ve been wearing this leather jacket from Miss Selfridge a lot recently as it’s so easy to throw on.

The Vagabond boots and Paul and Joe sister top are both c/o Zalando. I love the top it reminds me of a cross between a national geographic tee and an old tattoo design.

The skirt is c/o Boohoo, the side slit makes it a bit different with out being to fussy.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I’m filling mine with uni work as the boy is coming to visit me next week J

Golden Wolf

My “Rents” and little brother came up to Nottingham to see me last weekend J it was great to show them round my new “home”, although my mum was appalled by out uni kitchen (it’s truly  disgusting but par for the course) .
I took these pics in the park behind my halls; I’ve just learnt it’s called the Arboretum (which means collection of trees).
This Diesel top is one of my first purchases for my Zalando Fashion Frenzy win. I love the fact it looks like a band T but isn’t.
I teamed it with my Topshop crushed velvet gold metallic tube skirt, my Primark fur jacket and my Acne Admire wedges.
The white snake print and gold cuff is from H and M.... it’s very reminiscent of a much coveted House of Harlow leather and gold version.

Motel Rocks

Last Thursday I was lucky enough to be invited to the Motel Rocks and Glossy Box Blogger event and preview of their A/W collection.

It was such a great event with cosmopolitans, candy floss, Popcorn, cupcakes, a nail bar and of course all the A/W garments.

I had the pleasure of meeting some amazing bloggers as well, getting to chat to them in real life was lovely J
To name just a few: Kim, Jess, Michelle and Rosie (all pictured above).

I cant wait to receive my motel garment that I picked … it was not an easy decision choosing my favorite as im sure many of the bloggers found.

Thanks again Motel I had a fab night J

Purple Leaves

I love that it’s getting a bit colder and all the leaves are such pretty colours. When I took these pictures it was the perfect autumn day.

I’m wearing Topshop waxed trousers, a white sheer New Look shirt, a faux fur gilet from Canada, and my Jeffrey Campbell Climber boots, the cross studs are from Asos and the shirt pins are vintage.

I found these shirt collar pins in my mum’s vintage jewellery and immediately had to borrow them. They instantly give any shirt a unique twist and after seeing the Zara shirt with collar detailing on Fashion Toast it gave me even more reason to wear mine.

Also I dip dyed my hair purple!  It was much brighter at first but has now washed out into a lovely lilac colour. I used Paint Box purple haze and also have the pink version to try out at a later date. These colours should last anywhere between 3 and 30 washes.

I can’t wait for tomorrow as I have a Uni trip to London and then the Motel and Glossy Box event in the evening J

And to top off the week my family are coming up to Nottingham this weekend to visit me J

Hope everyone is having a great week !

Little Velvet Shorts

Lots of pictures today as I just couldn’t pick my favourites.

I based the whole outfit around my new VJ style shoes (I loved them after seeing them on Le Happy) I really like the fact that they are sort of like a girly creeper, with the thick platform, point front and cute ankle strap, (the boy absolutely hates them … oh well). And although I’m saying they are my creeper substitutes I still am stalking a pair of double sole blue creepers on eBay J

The red velvet shorts are from Topshop, as is the black top and my leopard print coat is from Primark. The red watch is DKNY, and the rest of my jewellery is from everywhere.

I’m loving velvet for this winter after seeing it on the Michael van der Ham a/w 2011 runway. The jewelled colours, flirty silhouettes and drapery had me mesmerised the entire show.

I have found a great range of velvet pieces in the high street already, my favourites being at Topshop, Boohoo and Minkpink.

What trends are you loving for this A/W ??

Hope every one is having a great weekend !
